Privacy Policy

Bonix Studio ("Bonix," "we," "us") operates the website bonixstudio.com (the "Site") and provides website design, hosting, maintenance, local SEO, marketing automation and advertising services (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of the Site and to clients and prospective clients who contact us.

By using the Site or the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form, book a call, email us or become a client, you may provide: name, business name, business type, city and state, phone number, email address, website address, project details, and billing information. We do not store full payment card numbers; payments are processed by our payment provider (see Section 4).

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, and similar usage data, through cookies and analytics tools described in Section 3.

Information from clients' customers. When we host or maintain a client's website, we may process information submitted by that client's customers (for example, quote-request forms). We process that information on the client's behalf and under the client's instructions; the client's own privacy policy governs it.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• respond to inquiries and provide quotes;
• schedule and conduct calls and meetings;
• deliver, host, maintain and improve the Services;
• send invoices and process payments;
• send service communications (project updates, monthly reports, renewal notices);
• send marketing communications you can opt out of at any time;
• operate, secure and improve the Site;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

3. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the Site working (for example, remembering your cookie choice). Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) help us understand how the Site is used; they are loaded only after you accept them in the cookie banner. Scheduling embeds (Calendly) may set cookies when you use the booking widget.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies in your browser or by choosing "Decline" in the banner, and you can block cookies in your browser settings. Google's practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not currently respond to those signals; we do honor the cookie choice you make in our banner.

4. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with:

• Service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract: hosting (Vercel), email (Google Workspace), payments (Stripe and our bank), scheduling (Calendly), analytics (Google), invoicing and bookkeeping software, and, where a client engages our automation or advertising Services, SMS, telephony, CRM and advertising platforms (for example Google Ads and Meta) that we configure for that client.
• Contractors and team members who work on your project under confidentiality obligations.
• Professional advisors (accountants, lawyers) as needed.
• Authorities, when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
• A successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this Policy continues to apply.

5. Text messages and calls

If you provide a phone number, you consent to receive calls and text messages from us about your inquiry or project, including through automated means. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or tell us on a call. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing any Service.

6. Data retention

We keep inquiry data for as long as needed to respond and for up to 24 months afterward for follow-up. We keep client account, project and billing records for the duration of the relationship and for seven years afterward for tax and legal purposes. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics' retention settings (14 months by default). We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

All users can: opt out of marketing email via the unsubscribe link; opt out of texts by replying STOP; decline analytics cookies in the banner; and contact us to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), to the extent it applies to us, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; access it; correct it; delete it; opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising); limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not use it beyond what is necessary to provide the Services); and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise a right, email privacy@bonixstudio.com or use the contact form with the subject "Privacy request." We will verify your identity by matching the details you provide with the information we hold, and respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of authorization.

Shine the Light. California Civil Code § 1798.83 lets California residents ask for a list of third parties to whom we disclosed personal information for their direct marketing. We do not make such disclosures.

Other US states. If you reside in a state with a comprehensive privacy law (for example Texas, Florida, Colorado, Virginia), you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete and opt out. Contact us and we will honor them where the law applies.

9. Third-party sites

The Site and the websites we build may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

10. International visitors

We operate in the United States. If you visit from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US under this Policy.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify current clients by email.
